Flower trips take place in the spring and summer growing seasons to explore the mountain floristic wonderland of the Drakensberg. We offer day trips to Sani Pass, Garden Castle and other local sites, or two-day trips to the Drakensberg Escarpment and Lesotho highlands depending on your interest.

The Sani Pass trips begin at 1550m and reach 3240m, passing through altitudinal vegetation zones. At 1800m, you enter the Drakensberg Alpine Centre of Endemism, home to 2400 species of plants including 400 endemic plants.

The day trips to the stunning scenery of the Garden Castle Nature Reserve offers options for finding many species, especially during the “orchid season” in January and February.

We cater to the needs of the plant enthusiasts, moving slowly to spot plants with opportunities for photographs.

We love the Drakensberg flora and want to share it with you!

Reminder: Passports are required for Sani Pass trips.
